We have produced:

• The student who wrote the best feature article in a high school newspaper in America (Columbia University Press);
• The editor of the best high school newspaper in America (the two national high school newspaper societies);
• Two first prize winners in statewide essay competitions;
• The third highest ranked frosh-soph math student in Illinois;
• Numerous Math Counts Contest district winners;
• Several students who have been admitted to the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy;
• The student who received the highest score on the entrance exam to Whitney Young High School;
• The winners of numerous other prizes and scholarships.

Most of these students, like most of the students who come to us, were weak in their basic skills when we first began to tutor them. Their progress is, therefore, especially impressive.
